At 2:17 p.m., about 100 students, including those from Anakbayan and SLAP! at UCLA, joined AFSCME Local 3299 demonstrators to shout, “Who’s got the power? We’ve got the power. What kind of power? Union power.”
“Workers are important for the school and I might as well come out and support,” said Sohan Agarkar, a first-year computer science student.
