Demonstrators with AFSCME Local 3299 marched down Strathmore Plaza – adjacent to the Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center – at about 10:15 a.m., blocking the pavement and leaving students to walk on the street. Contemporary Services Corporation private security workers were instructed to block access toward the Wasserman Football Center, leaving protesters marching toward the Hill instead.

“If we don’t get no housing, we don’t get no peace,” the demonstrators chanted. In a call and response, demonstrators also chanted, “What is this about? Contracts. When do we want it? Now.”
