Grant Gailys, a family friend of Klein’s who attended the trial, said he witnessed the “personal distress” Klein experienced following his suspension and wanted to support him in the courtroom.
“I’ve seen the personal distress he’s gone through,” Gailys said. “I wanted to come and be a familiar face for him.”
