UCPD searches for suspect after Tuesday evening burglary at Centennial Hall

UCPD is searching for a suspect after a reported burglary Tuesday evening.  

The burglary occurred at Centennial Hall around 8:55 p.m. , according to a UCPD crime alert sent Wednesday morning. After the victim left their room unattended with their door open, they returned to find the suspect looking through their property inside their room, according to the alert. 

Following a confrontation, the victim – a UCLA student – chased the suspect out of the room.  

The suspect was reportedly around 6 feet tall, with a medium build, black hair and a mustache, and was estimated to be a 20- to 25-year-old man. The suspect was last reported to have worn a black t-shirt, shorts and backpack, according to the alert.

No injuries were reported relating to the incident. 

This case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information can call UCPD at 310-825-1491.
