Hook ’em early: Longhorns take the first punch

Wow, well, we’re over five minutes into this first game and it’s all Longhorns.

Madison Booker – a candidate alongside UCLA’s own Lauren Betts for Player of the Year – is on the brakes both offensively and defensively. She’s running the show for her unit, and has everyone following right behind.

The dynasty that is Dawn Staley’s team is struggling out the gates. Not much offense going, with just four points on the board.

Hook ’em early, as a Longhorn might say.
