SANTA MONICA – Lacy Wetmore, a member of Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice, said she is protesting today in solidarity with AFSCME Local 3299 to support worker’s rights. Wetmore added that she was previously a patient at the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center and wants to support its workers.

“I gave birth to both kids in the hospital,” she said. “It needs to be making sure that its employees are happy because they’re the ones that are on the ground doing the really hard work.”
