Two fires continue to burn in Los Angeles County.

The Palisades fire, which is closest to UCLA, has spread to 23,713 acres and is 59% contained, according to the Cal Fire website. The National Weather Service has issued a “particularly dangerous situation” warning, indicating potential fire weather for parts of LA County until Tuesday morning

Classes at UCLA – which have not happened in person since Jan. 8 – are expected to resume Tuesday, and there are no evacuation orders or warnings covering the UCLA campus.

A second fire, which began in Pasadena and Altadena, is 87% contained after having spread to 14,021 acres, according to the Cal Fire website.
