UCLA has received questions about its air quality methodology and said it is using a calculation method shared by the Environmental Protection Agency, according to a Thursday post on the Bruins Safe Online website. Campus leadership are using air quality measurements on campus when deciding on the campus status.

Measurements are taken at three campus locations – the Terasaki Life Sciences Building, the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center – and two residential buildings, Sproul Hall and Sycamore Court Apartments, according to a separate post on the UCLA Environment, Health and Safety website. Most UCLA dorm buildings that have air conditioning, with the exception of Olympic and Centennial Halls, recirculate internal air only, according to the website.

As of 10:10 a.m. Thursday, the air quality at UCLA is rated as “good” and has been for over 72 hours. There are no evacuation warnings or orders in place covering the campus.
