Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass urged LA residents affected by the fire to visit the LA Disaster Recovery Center or the Pasadena Disaster Recovery Center in a newsletter she shared through email. She added that no donations will be taken in person at the centers, directing those who want to help to donate online at lacity.gov/LAStrong.

“Once the fires are out, there must be no greater priority than helping people return and rebuild their homes,” Bass said in the emailed newsletter. “This will be a herculean effort, and that is why we have started now, with a sweeping Executive Order to clear away red tape and bureaucracy and to organize the rebuilding effort around urgency, common sense and compassion.”
