In a 9:15 p.m. email to members of the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ronald and Valerie Sugar Dean Alissa Park said students should remain alert in light of the strong wind forecasts for Wednesday. Park added that campus resources have been republished on the Samueli School of Engineering website and encouraged students in need to contact the school’s academic leadership for further support.

“I also wish to extend my deepest gratitude to those of you who, despite personal hardships, have volunteered your time and efforts to help others in our community,” Park said in the email. “Please stay safe and connected so we can continue to support one another and work together to mitigate this catastrophe and rebuild our community.”
