Multiple UCLA resource centers, including the Bruin Resource Center, the LGBTQ Campus Resource Center and the Transfer Student Center, will remain remote until at least Friday, according to posts on the organizations’ Instagrams. The UCLA Admissions Office in Murphy Hall will also be closed to in-person visitors, according to the office’s Instagram story.
However, other campus amenities – including the UCLA Store – were open as of Monday.
There are no evacuations or warnings in place for the UCLA campus as of 7:52 p.m. Monday. However, the campus status is listed as having “emergency operations,” according to the Bruins Safe Online website.
If an evacuation warning is issued covering the campus, students should gather essential items, stay in communication with emergency contacts and make plans for evacuation – including on how to help neighbors who will need assistance, said UCLA Office of Emergency Management spokesperson Seán Devine in a Monday post to Bruins Safe Online. People who need extra time to evacuate should do so if an evacuation warning is issued, Devine said.
If an evacuation order is issued, students should report immediately to Pauley Pavilion or the Tipuana Apartments, where they will receive information and transportation off campus.
