Atmospheric scientist and Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activities Roger Wakimoto said in a town hall that the return of Santa Ana winds — which are expected to continue until Wednesday — will blow fires away from campus. However, he added that smoky conditions could continue for “quite some time,” even as fires are controlled.
