While there is no evacuation warning or order for the UCLA campus, students on campus will be issued with a BruinAlert if guidance changes, UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk said in a video message posted on the UCLA Instagram.
“We continue to monitor the situation very closely, and we have plans in place for whatever situation might arise,” he said in the video. “If you are on campus, please continue to stay alert.”
Frenk also said in the video – posted around 11:45 a.m. Sunday – that he is grateful for the support students are sharing with each other amid ongoing challenges.
“We are one UCLA,” he said. “Stay safe.”
