A task force will be set up to investigate the causes of fires across Los Angeles County, Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell said at a Saturday morning press conference. The task force will include investigators from across state, county and city agencies, he said.

A curfew remains in effect in areas under evacuation orders, McDonnell said. Breach of the curfew, in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., can lead to fines or six months of imprisonment, he said.

The UCLA campus is not under evacuation warning or order as of 9:35 a.m. Saturday. However, areas to the west of the Interstate 405 freeway north of Sunset Boulevard are under evacuation order, according to the Cal Fire website.
