In a 5 p.m. press conference, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said she is expecting the fire in Woodland Hills, which is in the San Fernando Valley, to spread rapidly because of ongoing wind conditions.

LA Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley said the Woodland Hills fire was more than 50 acres upon arrival and is active in both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. More than 60 fire companies were initially dispatched to the incident, with more resources en route, Crowley said.
