As of 9:37 a.m. Thursday, Westwood residents reported smelling smoke in the air.

According to Purple Air – a private company that manages air quality censors – a sensor run on the roof of the Mathematical Sciences building showed an air quality reading of 153, meaning some members of public could have health effects within 24 hours of exposure. Indoor censors in Sproul Hall and the Ackerman Union were reporting good air quality.
