According to the UCLA Air Quality Dashboard, the quality of air on UCLA’s campus has deteriorated significantly since 4 a.m. However, the overall quality still remains at a level where there are no anticipated impacts on people working, according to the dashboard.

Chancellor Julio Frenk cancelled undergraduate instruction for Thursday, citing concerns about how the air quality in Westwood will worsen as wind speeds drop. In his Wednesday evening campuswide email, Frenk also asked staff who could work remotely to speak to their supervisors about doing so.
