Mayor Karen Bass said in a press conference that the county could still issue more evacuation warnings through the night and that people receiving an evacuation warning should leave immediately. People should also have a bag packed for potential evacuations and conserve water, she said.

Bass also said air operations to fight the fires are underway but people should remain vigilant and both Gov. Gavin Newsom and President Joe Biden were supporting firefighting efforts.
