In a press conference Wednesday morning, Janisse Quiñones, CEO of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, said residents in areas around the Palisades should conserve water because the system has been exhausted by the fire response, and first responders need as much water as possible.

“We’re fighting a wildfire with an urban water system and that is really challenging.”
