In a press conference Wednesday morning, Los Angeles fire officials said that the Palisades fire caused a high number of injuries for those who did not evacuate and destroyed at least 1,000 structures. The cause is unknown for the around 3,000 acreage wildfire. Chief Kristin Crowley also said over 400 firefighters were deployed to the Palisades fire.
