SANTA MONICA – Gabriela Gutierrez, an attendee of the Westside Democratic HQ’s watch party who identifies as a Democrat, said she is surprised by how people her age, born from 1995 to 2000, decided not to vote or to remain distant from politics. She added that she could not understand how people decided to “sit out” on this election.

“A lot of us are very intelligent. We know what’s at stake here,” Gutierrez said.
