With a majority of votes counted, the “yes” vote for Measure A leads with a 57.10% majority. Measure A will repeal Measure H – which implemented a quarter percent sales tax in LA county in 2017 – and raise it to a half-cent sales tax. The measure is a citizen initiative that states it will raise an annual $1.1 billion, allocating 60% of its revenue toward services and solutions for houseless people and another 36% toward homelessness prevention initiatives.
