Taryn Lambert, a third-year psychology student attending the Bruin Democrats watch party at Royce Hall, said despite numbers of counted Democratic votes being lower than anticipated, she feels optimistic. She added that she is nervous about the election outcome.

“I know there’s a lot of people out there that were working really hard to get people out to the polls, and there’s a lot of people that want that change,” Lambert said. “I just want leaders that make people feel good and don’t spread messages that really harms groups of people.”
