Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Liliana Gonzalez approved a motion to allow child witnesses for the trial to testify in a separate room from defendant Christopher Rodriguez using closed-circuit video. Rodriguez is charged with sexual battery, sexual penetration by a foreign object and false imprisonment of three children under his care at the UCLA Krieger Center. Gonzalez made her decision following testimony from parents of victims, who indicated it would be emotionally traumatizing for the victims to be in the same room as the defendant.
