University police investigate reported off-campus hot prowl burglary

University police are looking for a suspect reportedly involved in an off-campus hot prowl burglary this week.

The incident occurred in a fraternity house on the 600 block of Landfair Avenue between around 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to a UCPD crime alert sent Friday. UCPD received the crime report Thursday evening.

The suspect reportedly entered the fraternity house and stole a laptop. The victim is a UCLA student, according to the crime alert.

UCPD did not provide a description for the suspect.

No injuries or vehicles were reported.

This case is currently under investigation. Anyone with information can call UCPD at 310-825-1491.
