UCLA ranked No. 1 public university in the US for 5th straight year

UCLA has ranked as the No. 1 public university in the United States for the fifth straight year, according to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2022 Best Colleges ranking. 

The U.S. News & World Report releases annual rankings of the top universities in the U.S. on 17 measures of academic quality. The criteria includes factors such as undergraduate academic reputation, social mobility and graduation and retention rates. 

UCLA also ranked No. 20 overall in top universities.

UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, UC Irvine and UC Davis also ranked in the top 15 for best public schools.

Princeton University, Columbia University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale University were the top five of the best national universities.
