The Bruins are one step closer to getting on the court this fall.

The Pac-12 released the 20-game conference portion of the schedule for UCLA men’s basketball 2020-2021 season Thursday morning.

UCLA will start its conference slate of games against California on Dec. 6 in Pauley Pavilion, and then will travel up to Eugene to play Oregon on Dec. 23.

From there, the Bruins will enter the paired matchup portion of the schedule, taking on partner schools in back-to-back matchups. Specific dates and times for each of these games will be announced later, after selections by the conference’s television partners are finalized.

This format is catered around flexibility should games need to be rescheduled because of COVID-19 restrictions. Each team will follow strict COVID-19 guidelines and games will be played in accordance with the Pac-12’s health and safety guidelines, according to the conference.

With the 20-game schedule, UCLA will play every conference team twice except for Oregon State and Stanford, which it will only play once.

The nonconference portion of the schedule has yet to be finalized, but UCLA has most of the schedule confirmed. It will play two games in the Wooden Legacy tournament Nov. 25 and Nov. 26, then face San Diego State and Marquette at home Dec. 9 and Dec. 11, respectively.

UCLA will cap off its nonconference slate against Kentucky in the CBS Sports Classic on Dec. 19 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.

The Bruins are looking to finalize two more games to make for a total of seven nonconference games.
