Christina Aguilera performed ‘’Fall On Me,’’ her new song with A Great Big World, with whom she previously collaborated with on the song “Say Something.”
Cabello performed ‘’Señorita’’ with Mendes, as well as her song ‘’Living Proof.’’ She later joined Swift onstage for ‘’Shake It Off.’’
Carrie Underwood was presented with the awards for Favorite Album - Country and Favorite Female Artist - Country.
Despite a public battle with record executive Scooter Braun regarding Swift’s AMA performance, Swift performed a medley of her hits, including songs such as ‘’The Man,’’ ‘’Blank Space’’ and ‘’Lover.’’

Lil Nas X took home the award for Favorite Song - Rap/Hip-Hop for his song ‘’Old Town Road’’ with Billy Ray Cyrus. The song was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 19 weeks straight this year, breaking the previously held record.
Shania Twain performed a medley of her hits, including a cover of Twenty One Pilots’ ‘’Stressed Out’’ and her own, ‘’You’re Still the One.’’
Country duo Dan + Shay took home two awards.
