Casey Kahalas paired a loose striped blue and white sweater with dark flare jeans and sparkly rimmed sunglasses. The second-year global studies student took the sweater from her mom’s closet when she went home for winter break.
Christina Gurdzhyan, a fourth-year anthropology student, sported a striped short-sleeved crochet top from Gap, with light wash fringe-hem jeans and dark-gray Nike shoes. She thought the knit material made it the perfect piece to wear in the slightly rainy weather. Gurdzhyan said the stripes have a cool ’60s look, and added she likes how the colors match with the rest of her outfit.
Crystal Maza had the cold weather in mind when she chose to wear her black and white striped sweater from H&M. The second-year neuroscience student paired the sweater with skinny jeans from Macy’s and Converse sneakers.
Tameri Bushra, a fourth-year art student, decided to pair her red-and-white striped long-sleeve shirt she thrifted from Goodwill with black jeans, white socks and Dr. Marten Oxford boots. She said she was on her way to her print making class and decided to wear as much black as possible because the class can get messy. Bushra said she likes the striped aesthetic of the shirt because it gives her an ’80s vibe.
Cianan Murphy received his gray, white, and blue striped hooded sweater for Christmas. The second-year biophysics student paired the sweater with skinny jeans and sneakers, and said he likes to wear the sweater often because it is comfortable and warm.
