First-year nursing student Sarah Sharma said she chose comfort when deciding what to wear on her flight back LA after Thanksgiving break. She bought her olive green hoodie from Cotton On and styled it with jeans from American Apparel and white Vans. “I wanted something warm to wear and green is my favorite color, so it fits,” she said.

Sean Missimer, a graduate student in mechanical engineering, wore his olive green Levi khakis with a gray Fruit of the Loom jacket and Nike Janoski sneakers. He said he doesn’t invest in clothes much and his green khakis, which his girlfriend encouraged him to buy, are his greatest venture into fashion.

Third-year biology student Connie Do said she chose to prioritize function over fashion, wearing her outfit for its durability during a lab class. She topped her H&M shirt and Cotton On jeans with an olive green bomber jacket from Marshalls to combat the cold weather, she said.

Tadeo Hernandez picked his outfit by channeling his love for colors. The fourth-year Spanish and French language and culture student wore a white UCLA sweater with olive green joggers and red-striped Adidas shoes. “I wore this because I have a passion for colors and the way they combine and look together. I’m very visual,” he said.
