Residents discovered Saturday that a tree fell on Kelton Avenue.

The tree had two primary branches, one of which split off from the main trunk and fell onto the street below, damaging a pickup truck. The fallen branch blocked the road between Levering Avenue and Strathmore Drive as of Saturday afternoon.

Earlier this year, several trees fell on Kelton Avenue, damaging several apartment buildings. However, the tree that fell most recently did not damage any building.

City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works officials placed signs around the area. None were immediately available for comment.

Contributing reports from Madeleine Pauker, Daily Bruin senior staff.
