First-year political science student Tamia Romo said she was going for an artsy business casual look. Her friends think her style is kindergarten teacher meets secretary, Romo said. Her outfit consisted of a top from American Apparel, a thrifted cardigan, knee-high socks from Urban Outfitters and shorts from Forever 21.

First-year biology student Isa Torres gets her fashion inspiration from Instagram – specifically from Adriana Lima, a Victoria's Secret model, which is why she likes to wear lace. Her top is from H&M, jeans are from Urban Outfitters, cardigan is from Pacsun and shoes are from Nike.

Priscilla McElhinney said she likes classic pieces that can be worn during more than one season. The third-year physiological science student also said she likes to pair minimal articles of clothing, such as her t-shirt dress from Nordstrom with gold accents, with other pieces. She accessorized with a necklace from Nadri and earrings from Kate Spade.

Second-year gender studies student Graciela Barada said she wanted to dress comfortably. She wore a dress she got second hand from her aunt. Barada also painted her nails a metallic lilac color and matched her dress with pastel pink and blue beaded bracelets.
