Westwood businesses, residents experience power outage

Power in Westwood Village went out around 9:30 p.m. Sunday near Broxton Avenue and was restored Monday morning.

A rainstorm caused three outages affecting about 900 customers, according to the Los Angeles Department of Power and Water’s website. Crews worked on site to resolve the outages by 9 a.m. Monday.

Starbucks, the Westwood Village Theater, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse and other Village businesses were without power.

A spokesperson said other areas in Los Angeles also experienced outages but could not provide more information.
