LAFD responds to small rubbish fire reported near UCLA Medical Plaza

Firefighters extinguished a small rubbish fire at Westwood Plaza and Le Conte Avenue Friday afternoon.

Brian Humphrey, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson, said the department received reports of smoke near UCLA Medical Plaza at about 2:04 p.m. Firefighters arrived and put out the fire at about 2:10 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No further information is immediately available.
