Police find no threat in suspicious package outside school of medicine

Police determined the suspicious package reported at the David Geffen School of Medicine on Monday afternoon was not a threat.
UCPD Lieutenant Richard Davis said someone reported a grocery bag outside the Jules Stein Eye Institute on campus about 4 p.m. Monday. The Los Angeles Police Department investigated the package and determined at 6:30 p.m. there was no threat.
Westwood Plaza, which was closed during the investigation, is now open to pedestrians and traffic.
