"I like to wear anything that is comfortable, but expresses something unique about me whether that's a piece of jewelry that I've gotten from travel or something that is easy that you don't have to think much about," said Georgi Chiang, a fourth-year fine arts student.

Although Chiang likes to wear comfortable clothing, she always makes sure her pieces still keep her in style.

"I shaved my head in December because a very dramatic thing happened with a boy. You want to pretend I'm invisible? You're going to have to fucking stare at me. I don't want to say I did it because of a boy, but kind of," said Regina Napolitano, a fourth-year gender studies student.

Elena Yu, a fourth-year art student, grew up wanting to be a fashion designer, but shifted her interest in art into sculpture, video and performance. However, she still maintains an interest in fashion. According to her, this was a tame day, normally she dresses "wilder."

"I usually get all my clothes at thrift stores. I got these shoes for $5 at Goodwill," Yu added.

"I do believe that men are becoming more conscious and aware with their fashion choices. I think it's imperative because in this day and age, where everything changes at an instant, fashion is communication," said Andy De La Cruz, a third-year political science student.

"Music influences my style. I am inspired by rock 'n' roll icons," De La Cruz said.

"For me fashion has always been something that makes you confident, it's not something that's always in trend, but if it gives you confidence it is fashionable," claimed Meghan Murphy a fourth-year anthropology student.
