No Offense, But: Metro Riders

Alice Lin/Daily Bruin

By Chris Campbell, Catherine Liberty Feliciano, and Ryan Nelson

Feb. 3, 2016 12:00 a.m.

Last week, Los Angeles Times reported that despite the millions the Los Angeles County Metro’s invested in transit projects, ridership has decreased 9 percent from 2006 to 2015.

Opinion editor Ryan Nelson and Radio Director and columnist Chris Campbell talk about the Metro and all its services. Whether you prefer bus, rail or your personal driver, The Bruin has nuance abound. This week’s “No Offense, But” episode discusses the sexiness of orange Metro buses, whether cheap gas prices or poor advertising have led to decreasing ridership and whether transit will ever come first in Los Angeles – that is, if we even want it to.
