
"I choose my clothes based on what makes me feel fun and powerful. If I can wear it to a dinner party on Mars and fall asleep in it, I'm buying it," said Sahara Grim, first-year jazz studies student.

"I bought this jacket in Istanbul and my bag is handmade in Mexico. I have very international clothes, essentially I'm traveling with my clothes," said Lucie Dubes, a third-year human biology and society student.

Juancarlos Encampo, a fourth-year Design | Media Arts student, admitted his favorite thing to wear is clothing with Old English font.

"Probably (what inspires my fashion style is) being comfy when I'm in class and wearing a hat so I don't have to worry about doing my hair and make up," said Kelly Polich, a third-year psychology student.

"I really like finding things at secondhand shops and thrift stores. I like mixing patterns. I don't really follow a certain style, just whatever catches my eye," said Desiree Samler, a third-year geography and environmental studies student.

"I don't have a particular aesthetic. I like mixing textures and experimenting with different silhouettes," said Yu Fu, a second-year Design | Media Arts student.

Jesse Arlen, a doctoral student in Armenian studies, said he likes to wear clothes that can transition from day to night.

"I dress to feel comfortable but also to reflect what kind of person I am," said Unu Sohn, a fourth-year gender studies student.

"I like contrast – the dressy and casual," Sohn said.

"I draw inspiration from my personality; I would describe myself as friendly, loquacious and colorful," said Graciela Barada, a first-year political science student.

"My style is a combination of Korean and European influences," said Yao Zhang, a third-year computer science and mathematics/economics students.

Tulika Misra-Varma, a second-year gender studies and English student, said she likes to infuse her Indian culture in her fashion choices. "I like colorful and different, something unexpected. I buy a lot of my clothes back home in India," said Misra-Varma.

Taryn Thrasher, a second-year psychobiology student, said she likes to wear dresses and ankle boots.

"I don't have a particular style, I like what I like," Thrasher said.

"I like fashion because it is my personal way of expressing myself, my way of communicating," said Gaël Adrien Mbama, a third-year international development studies student.
