UCPD looking for men accused of robbery near graduate student housing

University police are searching for two men who showed a gun to a UCLA student and stole a his wallet and groceries in Palms on Sunday afternoon.

The student reported he was walking into the Keystone-Mentone Apartments, located south of Westwood, at about 5:20 p.m. when he saw two men follow him into the property, according to a UCPD alert. One of the men showed the student a gun and asked for his wallet.

The student handed his wallet and groceries to the men. They were last seen walking north on Keystone Avenue.

The man who carried the gun was described as black, 20 to 30 years old, clean shaven and heavyset with short black hair, according to the alert. He was wearing a royal blue jacket and dark pants.

The second man was described as black and about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a skinny build, according to the alert. He was wearing dark-colored clothing.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.
