UCPD looking for man accused of choking woman in parking lot

University police are searching for a man who choked a woman by the neck in a UCLA parking lot Sunday morning.

The woman reported the man approached her about 9 a.m. Sunday in Parking Structure 32 on Veteran and Kinross Avenues and choked her, according to a UCPD alert. The man then fled by foot in an unknown direction.

The woman reported minor injuries.

The man was described as black, 20 years old, 6 feet, 2 inches and 165 pounds with a light complexion, thin build and short brown hair, according to the alert. He was wearing a black puffy jacket, a black T-shirt, black jeans and a black backpack.

The woman is not affiliated with UCLA.

No further information was immediately available. The case is still under investigation.
