Pac-12 nonconference strength of schedules

By Tanner Walters

Nov. 13, 2015 10:46 a.m.

For the first months of the 2015-2016 men’s basketball season, Pac-12 teams will play nonconference schools across the country, with each schedule varying in difficulty. Using Ken Pomeroy’s 2016 College Basketball Rankings, Daily Bruin Sports analyzed each team’s scheduled opponents and ranked the Pac-12 schools by their strength of schedule. These rankings don’t include tournament games in which the opponents have not been decided yet.

A lower number for a team’s strength of schedule indicates tougher competition. For example, UCLA’s Pac-12 low of 134.4 means that the average non-conference opponent the Bruins will face is No. 134 in the nation. UCLA, meanwhile, is ranked No. 38.
