Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to appear at a hearing, called an informal conference, next month to resolve his case that began with a June 22 arrest at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex, according to the Los Angeles attorney’s office.

Wednesday night’s update is the latest in the ongoing summer saga. In July, L.A. county prosecutors declined to press felony charges, and Combs has since characterized the incident as a “miscommunication.”

Rob Wilcox, a city attorney spokesperson, said the Oct. 15 meeting will determine whether charges will be filed against Combs, or if prosecutors will find alternatives including restitution payment, anger management or community service.

Charges aren’t usually filed following informal conferences.
