UCLA defeats Virginia 34-16

Defensive end Matt Dickerson showed improved pass rushing ability in the season opener. The sophomore only had one tackle in the entire 2014 season, but had two strong quarterback pressures and one pass deflection against Virginia.

True freshman running back Soso Jamabo charges toward the end zone on a 39-yard run late in the third quarter. Jamabo led the Bruins with 79 rushing yards and 8.8 yards per carry.

Virginia junior running back Taquan Mizzell (left) touched the ball on a majority of Virginia's offensive plays. Mizzell was the game's leading receiver with 100 yards on eight catches, but failed to get much going in the rushing game, averaging just 2.8 yards per carry.
