
Mexican cultural group Grupo Folkórico de UCLA will present its annual showcase, titled “Fiesta Mexicana,” on Sunday at Royce Hall. Representing six regions of Mexico through costumes and choreography, the culture show will also highlight the 16 graduating seniors of the group, who will dedicate their performance to the region of Guerrero.

Third-year physiological science student Megan Lee sits on a trainer table inside the UCLA baseball training room at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Lee joined the team this year as a student-intern athletics trainer and said she has developed a strong bond with the players. She will be working with the team again next year.

The second annual showcase of “An Evening of Devised Work,” happening Thursday, will consist of two plays called “Paper Cranes” and “Inconclusion,” created by graduate acting and directing students.

Christian Leandro found a passion for physical therapy and rehabilitation after working through various injuries in high school and college. After pursuing orthopedics and pre-med, Leandro stuck with sports medicine.

Vivan Sundaram’s exhibition “Making Strange: Gagawaka + Postmortem” at the Fowler Museum showcases sculptural garments made out of recyclables, repurposed materials and medical supplies.

Madison Davis, a first-year biology student, wrote about Amir Hakimi, a fourth-year neuroscience student who is involved in the Mobile Clinic Project at UCLA and Swipes for the Homeless. Hakimi also developed projects to help the less fortunate.
