Undergraduate student government officers plan to release online applications for their 2015-2016 office staff positions this week.

Some of the applications are already live and can be found on the Undergraduate Students Association Council website and Facebook page this week, said USAC President Heather Rosen. Several councilmembers said they are looking for applicants who show they are passionate about student government, even if they do not have experience related to the office.

Rosen said this year’s USAC Office of the President had about 40 student staff members, but she intends to hire a smaller office staff of 20 students for next year because she thinks a smaller staff will make the office run more efficiently. She added that applications will be due week eight for her office.

Community Service Commissioner Zack Dameron said the commission’s staff applications went live on its website May 3, and the due date is May 17.

Internal Vice President Heather Hourdequin said staff applications for the Internal Vice President’s office will be released Tuesday or Wednesday morning. Campus Events Commissioner Lexi Mossler said the director’s staff has not yet set specific release or due dates for the commission’s office, but the applications will be released sometime this week.

Prospective applicants can go onto the USAC Facebook page Tuesday morning for more information on the hiring process, Hourdequin said.
