UCLA alumnus and former member of the UCLA golf team John O'Donnell founded Johnnie-O, a clothing line based in Santa Monica that is inspired by the Southern California lifestyle. O'Donnell combined California surf and East Coast prep to create Johnnie-O's West Coast prep style that features four-button polos, T-shirts, swim trunks and button-downs.

Prior to making the decision to compete for UCLA gymnastics, freshman LaNiesha-Jopré Irvin handled the balancing act of competing in gymnastics meets while also pursuing an acting career.

Third-year psychobiology student Michael de Virgilio will release his debut EP, "Darling," under the moniker Mr. Moon in May. De Virgilio's childhood friend Brandon Hafetz produced the EP on his record label Fitz Ross Productions. His single, also named "Darling," was released Tuesday.

As part of Hip Hop Appreciation Month, the "LOcaliTY" Fashion Show will feature designers from Los Angeles and the Bay Area.

The fifth annual "The Vagina Monologues" will be performed in the Northwest Campus Auditorium on the Hill starting Thursday. The UCLA production follows a set script, but the actresses add personal touches.

The Nikkei Student Union held its 29th Annual Cultural Night Monday in Royce Hall. The culture night featured performances from NSU Modern and NSU Odori, as well as a Kyoto Taiko performance. The event, titled "Worlds Apart," aimed to showcase the history of Japanese Americans.
