Fourth-year biology student Raymond Ajoc fell in love with the sport of tennis in his freshman year of high school after watching Rafael Nadal win the Roland Garros title. Now, Ajoc continues to be involved with the sport as a team manager for UCLA's men's tennis.

UCLA music lecturer Gloria Cheng assembled a group of acclaimed film composers, including Randy Newman and Michael Giacchino, to score individual piano pieces for her to perform. The album, titled "Montage," will release Tuesday.

For Joseph Di Giulio, the tennis courts are where the sophomore finds solace, a place where he escapes from problems small and large. When his mother was in the hospital in a coma, Di Giulio was by her side every day, but found tennis the only way that he could temporarily forget and escape.

Junior diver Montana Monahan (left) and freshman diver Clara Monahan are sisters on the UCLA dive team. The Monahan sisters picked up the sport of diving together after moving from the East Coast to a home in Burbank that came with a swimming pool and a diving board.

UCLA women's basketball coach Cori Close first met John Wooden in 1994 while working as a restricted-earnings coach for the Bruins. As she moved forward to become an assistant coach for UCSB and finally the head coach for UCLA in 2011 after Wooden died, her relationship with Wooden has influenced her approach to her job.

UCLA has a long legacy of prominence on the basketball court – 11 NCAA championship banners hang from the rafters of the storied Pauley Pavilion. A direct product of UCLA's pedigree is a strong presence across the country in the NBA. Currently 14 former Bruins contribute throughout the league. The following is a spotlight on those alumni representing UCLA in the NBA.
