Rape reported at UCLA fraternity house on Gayley Avenue

A woman reported to police that she was raped in Westwood this past weekend after attending a party at a fraternity house on Gayley Avenue.

The rape took place between 11:15 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Gayley Avenue, according to university police logs. The woman reported the rape about 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

Police logs indicate the woman was unconscious or asleep during the reported rape.

UCPD is searching for a man in connection with the assault, said UCPD spokesperson Nancy Greenstein in an email statement. He is described as white, about 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches and 160 pounds with dark hair and brown eyes.

Detectives are following several leads in the case, Greenstein added. Police have not yet arrested anybody in connection with the rape.
