A pair of UCLA alumni donated $10 million to the planned Wasserman Football Center project, UCLA Athletics announced Monday.

The donation, from philanthropists Jim and Carol Collins, comes a week after a $1 million donation from David Lund and his wife Marilyn Silva-Lund and pushes total cash donations from private citizens above $53 million for the project.

Jim Collins earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1950 before forming Collins Food International, now Sizzler International Inc. The couple have made donations to UCLA since 1963.

UCLA will name a part of the Wasserman Football Center after the couple, and the east plaza of Pauley Pavilion has been renamed the Collins Family Plaza.
