The UCLA Brain Research Institute will host an event featuring the work of neuroscience professors, pre-doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows on campus Tuesday afternoon.

The BRI Neuroscience Poster Session, a free, annual event aimed to educate community members about UCLA neuroscience research, will showcase more than 150 posters dedicated to brain-related research.

More than 300 neuroscience faculty members and students are expected to attend the event, now in its 26th year. The event is open to the public.

Rachel Wong, Ph.D., a biological structure professor from the University of Washington, will speak during the Poster Session Distinguished Lecture at 4 p.m.

Last year, more than 300 people attended the event, where Nobel laureate Martin Chalfie, who holds a doctorate in physiology, gave the Poster Session Distinguished Lecture.

The Brain Research Institute Neuroscience Poster Session will be held in the Ackerman Grand Ballroom from 1 to 5 p.m.
